In the hair/make-up trailer,
one of the artists decided to try
to make Jarrett look
just a little bit older for the part.

In these three snapshots, Jarrett had just been kidnapped, then rescued by the detectives. This was shot in downtown Los Angeles, at City Hall, and traffic really played a huge part in this scene, as Jarrett's character has to frantically rush across six lanes of moving traffic, almost getting hit several times. The DP shot from almost two blocks away, which enhanced the shock of seeing this little boy so close to cars. Just as he was being kidnapped, an actual working bus pulled to the stop above the intersection, and several passengers got out and blanched, thinking the kidnapping was real.
